Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already here. We are at the river celebrating with Shelley, Alex and the girls. I have just made 2 pecan pies and am getting ready to make a Sweet Potato Casserole I found on my daughter-in-law's blog. www.fairhopefoodie.com
Shelley, Alex, and Bill have gone out fishing. I am staying in the warm house with the girls, Hannah and Maemie.
Can't wait for the rest of the crew to get here tomorrow and Sat. for the weekend. Hopefully, all the grandchildren will be here. Ornament making time! And, we will decorate the Christmas tree.

Raining again!!
It is raining cats and dogs this weekend. So much so that we didn't go to the river. Turkey hunting season is underway but it is too wet. Mother in law is with us for a while. Had a heart attack a few weeks ago. She is staying with us while she regains her strength.
Busy planning for drawing class. Now I am teaching a group of homeschoolers as well as my students from the previous session.

Hannah's Tea Party

Hannah was six on March 4. Shelley, my daughter had her birthday party on the 8th. It was a Tea Party. All the girls came in their fancy dresses. They made hats with flowers on them. She had boas, white gloves, rings and bangle bracelets and long strands of white pearls. They looked so cute. It was a fun party.
Happy St. Patrick's Day

I'm wearing green! Bill got up this morning and wanted to iron a green shirt to wear to work--go figure! So I decided I would, too. I have my granddaughter, Ella, today. We went shopping and played and had lunch. Then we checked the mail and not she is taking a nap and I am working(playing) on the computer.
This is a picture of Maemie and Ella, 2 of my granddaughters. There is 8 months difference in their age. Maemie, in pink, is older.

Raining at the River
It has been a while since I last posted and a lot has happened. But, one thing still remains the same, we are at the river for another weekend. Turkey hunting starts next weekend, so this weekend is youth week and two of the grandsons are big into hunting. They went hunting yesterday but it started raining and it is still raining.
It has given me an opportunity to draw and do a little fishing. Lately we haven't caught any fish, but yesterday, I went out to the dock--it started raining so I stayed under the dock and set out two lines. About the same time, I caught a crappie on each one. But, I didn't have anything to put them in so I ran through the rain and got a bucket for the fish and pliers, as one swallowed the hook. When the grandsons and children came down, we ended up with 12 nice sized croppie and 4 bass.(Husband caught the bass from the boat in the rain.)
What a good day for fishing!! Rain and all
